BIO
Robert Gratson is a New Jersey based visual artist residing in the suburbs of Bergen County. He primarily works in sculpture, 3d models, and painting. He graduated from Bergen Community College with an Associates in Graphic Design in 2015 and from William Paterson University in 2018 with a BFA in Interdisciplinary Arts and a Minor in Visual Communications. 3D modeling/scanning and fairly new CNC technology combined with sculpting have greatly inspired his recent works and are steering his future projects. Concepts in his work vary from unifying the dichotomy of nature and manmade materials to expressing our place in the world; notions of identity, time and self-reflection are featured.

Robert’s sculptures have been on view at Power Arts Center’s Main Gallery in Wayne, NJ as well as The Art Factory’s Gallery in Paterson, NJ. He was also granted The Favorite Piece Award for one of his paintings at a networking event “Creative Conflicts: Live Art Battle” held in Bergen PAC Englewood, NJ.

Robert aspires to further his art with installation work, creating atmospheres and possibly expanding his art practice into set design to really expose the world to the inner worlds he mentally harbors in his artistic subconscious.
